The “BE” prototype was the end result of a semester long UX (user experience) project. The app is designed to help students lead a more relaxing and healthy life by providing them with resources to track their sleep, wake up easier, have help falling asleep, practice deep breathing, meditation and be motivated by a daily quote. Please feel free to play around with the Sigma prototype below. The “breathe” function has not yet been prototyped out, however this could be done in future steps.

The 2016 Elections
Everyone has different views and ideas. One of Ece’s deepest beliefs is to respect everyone, no matter how different or how much you disagree with him/her. This collection of the 2016 Presidential election was designed in such a way that people would be able to view the result of the election through the eyes of three different categories of viewers, in the hopes that the view could experience the feelings and understand the viewpoint of others.
Ideally, this would be displayed in a large format so that the viewer would only be immersed in one image at a time.
Chicago
While spending three weeks of winter break in the “Windy City” of Chicago, Ece spend much of her time exploring the North Loop. She always took her camera with her and documented the streets. During these outing, she never never quite had a plan of where to do, but instead was guided by the small quotes she picked up that day. After coming back from Chicago, she collected the edit images and made a Map of the location of each by retracing her steps. The final product is a realistic map of the North Loop with minimal labels and mainly images to help the view guide themselves through the area.
Grounded
People always say, “Keep your head up.” But what if you don’t?
“I always look at the ground. It’s so interesting,” said one of Ece’s friends one day. Ece was a little taken back by this statement. However, this got her to thinking, why does no one document the ground? Could the ground really be that interesting?
For over two months, Ece videoed the ground she talked on; whether it was during a neighborhood walk, getting into a car, boarding a plane, waiting in lines. Anywhere. Anytime. She compiled these clips into a single video at just one minute in length.
In order to share this project in a still-format, a collection of images were collated into an organized and gridded collage. These were screenshots from clips in the video, not images. The purpose behind this is to still have the essence of movement through a still-image by conserving the natural blurriness of the video’s screenshot.

Family Photo Wall
For years now my mother has been telling how she desperately wants to create a black and white photo wall in our house. However, like most of us, she just hasn’t gotten around to it. So, for Mother’s Day, I took it upon myself to create this home gallery. A few weeks ago, we took a few hundred family pictures and I had such a hard time choosing my favorites as they all came out so good! After spending time editing many of the photos, I got them printed on canvases. If you are curious what the final product looked like please take a look at the attached gallery below.
